Fred Perry Unveils New Collaboration with Nigel Cabourn

 

With their love for  the Table tennis game, Fred Perry and Nigel Cabourn share many similarities, Fred Perry became a world champion of the sport in 1929, while Nigel as a self-confessed fan who plays five times a week with an ex-England pro player. Both are quintessentially British brands inspired by heritage and British manufacturing.

Styles, fabrics and trims are inspired by the clothes worn by Fred Perry and Hungarian pro table tennis player and five times world champion Victor Barna in the 1950s. A less well known fact that Perry was also a master of the ping-pong but not only did he win trophies in Grand Slam Tennis but also winning a world singles title at table tennis in Budapest in 1929.

A new spring/summer table-tennis-inspired clothing range is now available .The collection features a table tennis shoe which is based on a design from the Fred Perry archive, a pique shirt which is a playful take on a 1970s training vest and a 1929 Tennis short.
