But its not just parkas that PL do, they have a done a stylish, reworked take on the Donkey jacket, £360 (pictured below) that is made from pure wool with real leather shoulder panels. The garments are designed with the customer in mind; the designers at Parka London create what they feel they cannot find for themselves, something missing from their wardrobe. We are about that classic coat that gives someone effortless style when they throw it on but still has a modern aesthetic. It’s not about fast fashion but a timeless piece that’s quality and designed to ensure you can wear and treasure it for years to come.
Why do you think the Parka is such a loved garment?
The Parka is one of those timeless styles which has always been uninfluenced by trends. It is that key wardrobe piece that makes any outfit look effortlessly good and practical at the same time, you can throw it on, zip it up and feel confident of looking good and feeling good too. We love parkas bit we also offer other outerwear pieces such as wool, and leather.

What are the creative ideas behind the Parka London AW14 Collection?
Firstly in winter it is true that your outerwear is the main link that ties your whole outfit together. We wanted to create garments that compliment your existing wardrobe, are easy to wear. We take inspiration from classic shapes and update them with modern details.
What is your favourite item in the collection?
All styles have something unique about them whether it be the trims or the details but a personal favourite is the unisex parka Charlie. This style has a fully detachable cosy lining and amazing faux fur trim on the hood, keeps you cozy and warm in the cold!
All the coats have a name and seem like personal friends to you, how did the idea of naming the styles come about and what are the different characters of each coat?
Each style has a character / uniqueness of its own and so we thought it was fitting for each garment to have its own name too. They are all individual in some way or another!
Apart from the classic khaki hooded parka, can you talk me through the collection and give styling tips on key coats and looks.
We offer a wide collection of outerwear to fit all lifestyles. The Parka is one of our favorites naturally but we also have great leather jackets, wool overcoats and luxurious faux fur coats for her and an essential wool donkey jacket, cotton DB for him. Key tip for styling: wear it your way.
You are choosy about the fabrics, what makes the fabric in your coats special?
All the fabrics used are carefully selected from hundreds sourced worldwide. We only use the highest quality materials, matching the style to a fabric most suited to the style. Comfort is key and that luxurious feeling of putting something on and feeling great.
